Hey guys hope you’re all well! With a the Uni year coming to an end, open days will start taking place for students wanting to join Sept 2015. I thought it would be good to do a a quick list of things to make sure you do/ask/see when you’re on a open day!
5 Things to do at an Open Day
1. Speak to the course lecturers
This sounds pretty obvious but the amount of parents I see asking about the course whilst the student is sitting down looking a little nervous is huge, don’t be shy, speak to everyone you see. You’re the one going to study the Degree, only you know the answers and the vibe your looking for.
Get yourself of all of the building tours possible, see what the Uni has to offer, even if it doesn’t relate to your course, you never know what might come in handy when you’re at Uni.
3. Speak to other students
When you’re in your subject talks, chat to other students about where they’re thinking about going to University, you might of missed a really good uni that they’ve visited and can tell you bit about?
4. Check out the accommodation
Make sure you visit all of the halls and check out some of the prices of flats and houses ready for the second and third year. Some places are expensive to live in, and your loan needs to be spent on important socials!
5. Explore the area!
Finding the right University is very important, but its just as important to find the right Town/City to live in. If you don’t enjoy the place your living in, University will be less fun! So once you’re happy with a Uni, get out and see what there is to do!
Hope that helps guys!
