Hey guys, sorry it’s been a while but with final University submits and balancing a full time job its been very difficult to find time do anything else! So what have I been up to lately?
The biggest thing has been finishing all of my assignments which have consisted of big essays, video production/editing and speeches. My last assignment was handed in last friday with my last day today. It’s been a very quick three years but its been an amazing experience that everyone should do! Don’t underestimate your final few weeks in third year though, its very intense!
The Doctor Who project is over, we had the premier in Cineworld a month ago. The whole day was great and everyone really enjoyed themselves! The lecturers, parents and children all loved the video and had some really positive feedback to give about it! If it’s ever uploaded online i’ll post up a link to it!
Life after University
This is something that is always very daunting when at University, something which no one ever really wants to talk too much about, the thought of leaving and having to experience real world life! :S To be honest though i’ve found it hasn’t been too bad and everyone has appeared to of found their own path. Some people are choosing to continue with education and study a Masters Degree, some are going straight into jobs in the industry, others are freelancing with some people wanting to travel or save up to travel. All are great options and you will work out which one is right for you by the time you leave University!
Getting a Job after University isn’t as hard as everyone seems to say, I have many friends going onto jobs in the Industry or part time jobs while they find something else. You’ve just got to stay proactive, keep in regular contact with your lecturers and see how things pan out 🙂
I’ve been very lucky and have managed to secure myself a job straight after University, I now work on the production of Rastamouse, the children’s Cbeebies programme. I’ve spent about a month there now and it’s really good fun and great experience! If you don’t know of the programme here it is:
